Made during the Meiji era (1868–1912), this large Imari bowl features a harmonious composition of dragon, tortoise, and phoenix motifs rendered lavishly in gold, together with pine-bamboo-plum designs. At the center of the interior, an elegant floral motif in blue tones is beautifully balanced with the surrounding decoration. Richly incorporating traditional Japanese auspicious motifs, this large bowl offers not only decorative beauty but also a glimpse into its historical background and the skill of its craftsmen.
