This hexagonal small plate is a fine example of "Daishōji ware," considered one of the most artistic styles within Kutani porcelain. The deep indigo peony at the center symbolizes elegance and grace, while the surrounding reds and greens, together with the lavish gold dragon motif, lend the piece a distinctive dynamism.
