This unique upcycled vest combines the refined elegance of traditional Oshima Tsumugi silk with an elegant, classical Japanese design on the lining.
The lining features a graceful Goshoguruma, an elegant ox-drawn carriage traditionally associated with the Japanese aristocracy, passing between auspicious pine (Matsu) and plum (Ume) trees. The contrast between the understated elegance of the outer silk and the noble, 
richly decorated interior—revealed when the vest is worn open or taken off—beautifully embodies the Japanese aesthetic of Urakasari, the art of hidden luxury.

裏地には、日本の伝統的な吉祥の象徴である「松」と「梅」の木の間を、気品漂う御所車が行き交う美しい情景が描かれています。表はシックで落ち着いた大島紬でありながら、前ボタンを開けて羽織ったときや、ベストを脱いだ瞬間に華やかで高貴な世界観が広がる、まさに「裏勝り（うらかざり）」の粋を体現した一品です。

Kimono dresses are 100% silk, so please be careful when you wash them. You need to treat them with the same care which you would treat fine silk clothing. We highly recommend that you dry clean them. When you want to wash them, please consult a dry cleaner who handles the washing of delicate silk garments.

Caution

We reuse vintage kimonos in good condition and always check the materials before remaking them. However sometimes there may be small stains that cannot be removed by cleaning.
